GEARS OF WAR 3 announced!
The culture-shaking success of the Gears of War franchise has been a thrill to all involved. Jamey returns to the franchise as Lead Sound Designer for the 3rd installment of the series which will be bigger, better, and of course, more badass! The game will release on April 11, 2011. Jamey wraps the independent feature film "Do Not Disturb"
Do Not Disturb is a thrilling independent feature film which consists of 5 featurettes taking place in a single hotel room. Produced by Mali Elfman with music from Danny Elfman, the film stars Eric Balfour, Troy Garity, Diva Zappa, Lindsay Pulsipher, and many others. Jamey reunites with master animator Sam Chen to collaborate on Amazonia!
In 2003, Sam Chen and Jamey Scott collaborated on a 16-minute animated short called Eternal Gaze, which is a dramatic portrayal of the life and work of artist Alberto Giacometti. The film went on to win the coveted Best Animation prize of the 2003 Siggraph Electronic Theater. The film also screened at over 100 film festivals and won over 30 awards, capped off with being short-listed for an Academy Award for best Animated Short that year. Sam's follow up is a much lighter fare called Amazonia, which tells the tale of a hungry frog named Bounce and his new-found pal who helps him further his culinary quest. The film wrapped in April 2010 and will be hopping along the festival circuit later this year.
Desert Son premieres at Method Fest LA and wins an award!
Desert Son is an extraordinary independent feature film staring John Bain, Nathan Halliday, and Erica Curtis. It is the phenomenal result of a collaboration between cinematographer James Mann and set designer Brandon Nicholas which beautifully describes the lives of 3 kids living on the dirty edge of outcast society. There are few films this originally bold and masterfully created. The film premiered at the 2010 Method Fest in Los Angeles and Nathan Halliday won the top honors for Best Supporting Actor! Jamey was the Sound Supervisor, Sound Designer, ADR Recordist, Dialog Cleaner, Re-recording Mixer, Music Editor, and contributed a significant role in the film's music. An introspective and wonderfully written, shot, and performed feature film, The Loneliest Road In America is a story that accompanies 3 college friends along a trip from Colorado to Los Angeles. The multi-dimensional story describes this journey as the looniest road in America for a multitude of reasons. The film will premiere at the 2010 Method Fest in Los Angeles and will make its rounds in the film festival circuit later in the year. Jamey was the Sound Supervisor, Sound Designer, ADR Recordist, Dialog Cleaner, Music Editor, Re-recording Mixer, as well as creator of the film's musical score. GEARS OF WAR 2 released to universal acclaim!
Jamey worked on Gears or War 2 for 13 months and served as the primary creative sound designer, creating the signature sounds for most of the in-game objects, ambients, and creatures.

UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3 receives M.P.S.E. nod!
Jamey's work as the primary sound designer for Epic's 3rd installment of the Unreal Tournament franchise has been nominated for an award from the Motion Picture Sound Editors Guild under the category of BEST SOUND EDITING - MADE FOR COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT.

In February 2008, Jamey Scott completed a one-person audio-post show for the Sci-Fi Channel feature movie WARBIRDS, scheduled to air in March. Working with film industry veterans and CGI tech gurus Kevin Gendreau and Christian McIntire, Jamey created all of the sound design, edited and mixed all dialog, foley, music and backgrounds for the 5.1 theatrical soundtrack.

GEARS OF WAR Nominated for 2007 TEC Award!
Jamey's work as the primary sound designer and cinematic mixer for Epic Games' "Gears of War" continues to receive industry accolades with a nomination for MIX Magazine's annual TEC awards. 2007 is the first year that Game audio will be recognized in the ceremony, so it is a historically significant nomination and an honor for Jamey to attend the ceremony in New York this October.
GEARS OF WAR sweeps the 2007 G.A.N.G. awards!
"Gears of War" walked away with a sweep of the top awards at this year's Game Audio Network Guild awards. Gears walked away with three awards, including "BEST CINEMATIC/CUTSCENE AUDIO", "BEST SOUND DESIGN", and the highest honor, "AUDIO OF THE YEAR".
